Smartphone addiction

Are you a phubber?

Do you suffer from FOMO?

These are words associated with smartphone* addiction.

FOMO – is the acronym that means: Fear of Missing Out. Something cool or interesting might be happening somewhere, and I want to be sure I catch it, so I have to keep checking my phone to make sure I don’t miss out on anything.

Someone who suffers from FOMO is called a phubber… in other words someone who ignores real people around him/her because he/she is concentrating on his/her phone.

A phubber is totally addicted to his/her phone. They have a psychological and physical need to have it. Their smartphone is their drug.

They look at it compulsively. They can’t stop looking at it, they do it again and again…

Ask yourself « What is the best way to keep in touch with a person ? ».

How about actually meeting people face to face, in person? ……
